Job summary

Spheros Environmental is seeking an Environmental Planner/Project Manager to lead CEQA/NEPA documentation, manage budgets, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on small to mid-size projects. Remote work is available with travel as needed.

The role includes directing subconsultants, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality, schedule, and client satisfaction on a range of environmental planning efforts.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of experience in environmental planning, CEQA/NEPA documentation.
• Strong understanding of NEPA regulations, technical topics, and case law.
• Experience preparing or managing CEs, EAs, sections of EISs, and permit applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead CEQA and NEPA documents with mitigation measures.
• Lead resource sections and manage technical topics on large projects.
• Prepare project descriptions, interpret plans, and prepare permit applications.
• Coordinate QA/QC and document review with the Document Manager.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and speaking.
• Mentor Environmental Analysts and Planners; support staff development.
• Manage small to medium environmental review processes and budgets.
