Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks an Environmental Project Manager to lead CEQA/NEPA projects and expand services across California. The role can be remote or hybrid, combining time between a California office and home.

You will oversee document preparation, grow a project portfolio, mentor staff, and work with leadership to win new work while delivering high-quality environmental planning. Requires a strong track record; AICP preferred; 10+ years in leadership roles in environmental projects.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• AICP certification desirable.
• Minimum 10 years in progressive leadership roles overseeing planning and environmental professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental Planning team to grow market share in California.
• Build pipeline and backlog through client relationships.
• Oversee CEQA/NEPA document preparation and related studies.
• Supervise and develop environmental staff.
• Coordinate multi-agency planning efforts.
