Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to lead complex environmental planning projects and ensure CEQA/NEPA compliance. You will direct multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and serve as the primary client liaison.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in a related field, 12+ years in environmental planning with CEQA/NEPA experience, and at least 5 years as a Senior Project Manager leading multidisciplinary teams. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or related field.
• 12+ years in environmental planning and permitting with CEQA/NEPA experience.
• Minimum 5 years as Senior Project Manager leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of CEQA/NEPA, related regulations, and client liaison experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex environmental planning projects across multiple sectors.
• Serve as primary client liaison; facilitate stakeholder meetings and hearings.
• Direct preparation and review of environmental documents and technical studies.
• Manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC processes.
• Drive business development and proposal strategy.
• Mentor and develop junior staff in environmental planning and compliance.
