Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking an Area Manager-CDL to lead the CDL program across campuses, ensuring FMCSA/regulatory compliance and high-quality instruction. The role drives fleet management, scheduling, and profitability while mentoring program directors and instructors.

You will collaborate with regional leaders to set standards, roll out training, and optimize CDL operations nationwide, maintaining safety and regulatory adherence at all times.

Qualifications

• High school degree.
• 5 years of CDL driving and training experience.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and administer Program Director and Instructor training programs.
• Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of running a compliant CDL program.
• Visit, understand, and direct program directors and instructors on compliance and operational best practices.
• Develop and administer program director and instructor training programs; collaborate to scale training.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new CDL staff.
• Review reports and tailor training discussions with CDL teams on results.
• Manage operational compliance for the CDL program.
• Oversee safety and compliance programs mandated by FMCSA, State and Local agencies.
• Ensure compliance to drug and alcohol, road safety, and regulations by training teams and documenting issues.
• Review accident policy and develop safety initiatives; administer audit and scorecard systems.
• Implement remediation plans in coordination with leadership and program director.
