Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking experienced CDL A drivers to join as Virtual CDL A Instructors, delivering online classroom instruction and supporting students as they prepare for CDL permits and theory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, mentoring, or training drivers.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and CDL permit requirements.
• Strong communication skills for managing a virtual classroom.
• Experience with virtual instruction or online learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Teach CDL knowledge through virtual classroom instruction focused on permit preparation and driving theory.
• Provide step-by-step guidance on CDL topics, including safety regulations and FMCSA-based requirements.
• Ensure students are prepared for CDL permit testing standards.
• Promote safety and professionalism in all instruction.
• Track student attendance and participation, providing support as needed.
• Maintain documentation, including attendance and progress records.
• Provide clear communication to help students understand course material.
