Job summary

160 Driving Academy is hiring Virtual CDL A Instructors to deliver online classroom instruction and support students as they prepare for CDL permits and theory requirements.

This role offers a remote work environment with a set schedule, hourly pay based on experience, comprehensive benefits, and onboarding to help transition into virtual instruction. The network includes 90 locations across 32 states, providing stability and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the state you are applying for or have a residence secured for relocation.
• CDL Class A license with a minimum of 24 months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Safe driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Strong computer skills with platforms such as Salesforce, Zoom, Canvas, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong communication skills with ability to manage a virtual classroom.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple students in an online environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach students CDL knowledge through virtual classroom instruction focused on permit preparation and driving theory.
• Provide step-by-step guidance on CDL topics, including safety regulations and FMCSA-based requirements.
• Ensure students are prepared for CDL permit testing standards.
• Promote safety and professionalism in all instruction.
• Track student attendance and participation, providing support when needed.
• Maintain proper documentation, including attendance and progress records.
• Provide clear communication and support to help students understand course material.
