Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking experienced CDL A drivers to join as Virtual Instructors. You will deliver online classroom instruction to prospective CDL students, guiding them through permit preparation and theory, while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

You will work remotely with a set schedule, earn hourly pay based on experience, and receive a benefits package, training, and opportunities for growth within our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching drivers or training others.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations is advantageous.
• Experience with virtual instruction platforms.
• CDL training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach CDL knowledge through virtual classroom instruction focused on permit preparation and driving theory.
• Provide step-by-step guidance on CDL topics, including safety regulations and FMCSA-based requirements.
• Ensure students are prepared for CDL permit testing standards.
• Promote safety and professionalism in all instruction.
• Track attendance and participation, providing support when needed.
• Maintain documentation including attendance and progress records.
• Provide clear communication and support to help students understand course material.
