Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking experienced CDL A drivers to become Virtual CDL A Instructors. This remote role delivers online classroom instruction and supports students preparing for permit and theory requirements.

With 90 locations nationwide, the company offers stability, training, and opportunities for growth. Candidates must hold a valid CDL A and enjoy organizing and teaching in a virtual setting.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the state you are applying for or have a residence secured for relocation.
• Valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 24 months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Safe driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Strong computer skills with platforms such as Salesforce, Zoom, Canvas, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills to manage a virtual classroom.

Responsibilities

• Teach students CDL knowledge through virtual classroom instruction focused on permit preparation and driving theory.
• Provide step-by-step guidance on CDL topics, including safety regulations and FMCSA-based requirements.
• Ensure students are prepared for CDL permit testing standards.
• Promote safety and professionalism in all instruction.
• Track student attendance and participation, providing support when needed.
• Maintain proper documentation, including attendance and progress records.
• Provide clear communication and support to help students understand course material.
