Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Documentation Coordinator / Second Level Reviewer (Remote) to perform secondary chart reviews, resolve DRG discrepancies and educate clinical staff on documentation accuracy.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years CDI experience, strong clinical knowledge and proficiency with encoder systems. This full-time, remote position supports CMS compliance and high-quality coding across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist preferred.
• Knowledge of severity of illness, risk of mortality and DRG processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct secondary clinical chart reviews to identify documentation gaps.
• Resolve DRG or coding discrepancies with the Coding and CDI teams.
• Educate clinicians on documentation accuracy and comorbidity capture.
• Perform concurrent and retrospective chart reviews per CMS guidelines.
• Initiate compliant provider queries following ACDIS and AHIMA guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, quality and coding teams to ensure timely coding.
