Job summary

Tactiq in Woonsocket, RI is seeking a Category Analyst to support category buyers with analysis, insights, and recommendations based on POS data to improve category and brand performance. You will partner with corporate and distribution leadership to establish benchmark reports and track business strategies, and serve as a data resource for retailers, manufacturers, and distributors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred.
• Local to Woonsocket, RI and able to work in-office.
• Sales analyst experience in retail or food/beverage industry preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel reporting tools.
• Microsoft Excel, SQL; Access experience preferred.
• MicroStrategy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work both remotely and on-site with a major retail partner to maintain company relations and achieve sales/operational goals.
• Provide category insights, analysis, dashboards, and retailer support focusing on Food/Beverage/DSD products.
• Interface between company, retailer, and distributor networks to develop and sustain business sources.
• Build rapport with retailer and distributor contacts.
• Produce recurring analyses and reports (annual, YTD, quarterly, monthly, weekly) including space/product rationalization and zero scan reports.
• Coordinate with buyers and customer service to resolve retailer/distributor issues.
• Assist retail partner with operational tasks, including reports, surveys, field support, scan issue corrections.
• Create schematics using space/product rationalization.
• Handle new item setup, item maintenance, promo/TPR setup, zone alignments, and store lists.
