Smith & Wilkinson is seeking a seasoned Casualty Underwriting Leader to establish a new Liability & Excess program. This remote position offers a unique opportunity, with full P&L ownership and authority over underwriting strategy, pricing, and program design.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in underwriting, particularly in commercial primary and excess casualty, managing significant books of business. Competitive base, profit sharing, and equity packages are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of underwriting experience in commercial primary and excess casualty.
• Proven track record managing middle-market risks.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, agribusiness, and related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a new Liability & Excess program.
• Have full P&L ownership and authority over underwriting strategy.
• Leverage existing infrastructure and broker network.
