Job summary

Ledgebrook is actively seeking experienced Casualty Underwriters for General Liability and related lines. The role focuses on building a profitable casualty book through wholesale broker relationships and data-driven risk assessment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in casualty underwriting, experience with admitted/non-admitted paper, and a strong entrepreneurial drive. Remote work is offered, with travel for brokers/events as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Casualty underwriter.
• Experience with admitted and non-admitted paper.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, independently or with a team.
• Underwrite new business and renewal policies for Casualty.
• Strong wholesale broker relationships and communication.
• Understanding of pricing/risk selection for profitability.
• Advanced data analysis and portfolio management skills.
• Innovative problem solving and customer-focused mindset.
• Entrepreneurial drive with collaborative spirit.
• Willingness to travel to meet brokers or teams.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Casualty policies (General Liability and related lines) and renewals.
• Develop and maintain wholesale broker relationships to source opportunities.
• Communicate Ledgebrook appetite and value proposition clearly.
• Analyze data to support portfolio performance and risk selection.
• Collaborate with team to drive invoicing, submissions, and decisions.
