Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking an experienced Casualty Claims professional to join our team. The role involves investigating casualty claims, collecting statements and evidence, analyzing policy coverage, and negotiating settlements.

You will maintain thorough documentation and communicate clearly with insureds and agents. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, at least 1 year of related claims experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal form.
• Experience interpreting casualty policy language and applying it to claims.

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned casualty claims by collecting statements, physical evidence, and legal documentation.
• Analyze and interpret policy coverage to determine liability and damages.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and company procedures.
• Communicate claim status to insureds and agents.
• Maintain accurate documentation in company systems and adhere to standards.
• Travel for onsite investigations or meetings as needed.
