Job summary

Independence American Insurance Company (IAIC) is seeking a Manager, Carrier Operations Quality Management to lead QA, audits, and oversight for delegated insurance operations. This remote role requires travel to US/Canada offices up to 8 trips per year and reports to the Quality Management leadership.

You will drive risk-based quality assurance, maintain audit standards, and foster regulatory compliance across claims, policy administration, licensing, and customer service.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in insurance operations, quality assurance, auditing, compliance, claims, or policy administration.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Experience managing QA, audit, compliance monitoring, or operational testing.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations and delegated oversight environments.
• Experience evaluating operational controls, identifying risk, and implementing process improvements.
• Ability to analyze data, solve complex problems, and communicate findings to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead IAIC’s quality management, audit, and testing programs across delegated insurance operations.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based quality assurance and operational audit framework.
• Oversee audits and reviews for claims, policy administration, licensing, appeals, customer service, and related functions.
• Review audit findings, identify trends and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor quality metrics and operational performance to support informed decision-making.
• Prepare and present reporting on audit results, emerging risks, and remediation activities.
