Job summary

Independence American Insurance Co is seeking an Associate Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support end-to-end regulatory change management, monitor laws, analyze regulations, and communicate changes to applicable areas. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Compliance and is based in a remote USA setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing laws for applicability, maintaining regulatory knowledge, and coordinating training to ensure policy, procedure, and product compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to translate laws into actionable guidance.
• Experience in regulatory change management and tracking regulatory implementation.
• Ability to document evidence of compliance and support investigations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates review of laws and determines applicability for the organization.
• Communicates law requirements to owners to ensure policy and product compliance.
• Maintains knowledge repository on regulations and changes.
• Coordinates training with owners and vendors to mitigate compliance risks.
• Supports monitoring, auditing, and surveillance of operations and corrective actions.
• Collaborates on compliance questions, complaints, and incidents.
• Manages timelines and communicates impacts to leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
