Base pay range

$15.25/hr - $18.00/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Surgery Scheduler to join our team remotely. You will support orthopedic providers and patients by coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, preferably prior experience in surgical scheduling, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries with physicians, surgical centers, hospitals, and Verisma staff.
• Communicate procedure details, pre-op and post-op instructions, and insurance requirements to patients.
• Obtain and verify necessary documentation, including insurance authorizations, referrals, and medical clearances.
• Accurately enter and update scheduling information in the system.
• Serve as a point of contact for patients and providers regarding scheduling questions or changes.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department and company operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and scheduling software.
