Our Scheduling Coordinators are responsible for scheduling and pre-registering procedures with callers at outpatient offices for all modalities over the phone in a friendly and professional manner. Communication with outside offices, provider offices, insurance companies, and patients must be courteous and professional. Schedulers should maintain a professional presence, including being at your desk at home and ready to handle high call volumes. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the call center/healthcare environment is required. This role relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines and works under immediate supervision. The position includes additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager. We provide all hardware needed to work from home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient experience as the first impression.
  • Deliver superior customer service in a virtual team environment, communicating effectively with medical facilities and patients.
  • Manage multiple phone lines efficiently during high-volume calls.
  • Assist patients in scheduling procedures using correct CPT codes based on referrals.
  • Support physician offices in scheduling patients for procedures.
  • Obtain complete and accurate clinical, demographic, and financial information during scheduling.
  • Provide patients with preparation and appointment instructions.
  • Manage and direct calls using a centralized phone system for all Royal Health outpatient sites.
  • Hiring for various shifts: 8:30AM-5:00PM CST / 9:30AM-6:00PM EST, 9:00AM-5:30PM CST / 10:00AM-6:30PM EST.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing multiple phone lines and practicing superior customer service in a virtual healthcare environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and center information per HIPAA and facility policies.
  • Radiology Scheduling experience is required.
  • At least one year of clinical or scheduling experience.
  • Dedicated home office with high-speed internet.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be based in the USA.
Additional Preferences
  • Completion of a formal medical terminology course or equivalent medical office experience.
