Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in healthcare, business administration, finance, accounting, or related field.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC or other coding credentials required
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant coding and charge capture work experience in hospital/Physician Practice environment
• Knowledge of charge capture, coding guidelines, payer rules & requirements

Responsabilités

• Ensure accurate CPT/HCPCS documentation for patient billing
• Perform charge capture, pre-bill edits (OCE/CCI/DNFB)
• Review charts and notes to extract charges
• Educate clinical staff on documentation for revenue optimization
• Provide support to ancillary departments for charge accuracy
