Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Charge Capture and Coding Analyst to support Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology coding, billing compliance, and revenue integrity. This role analyzes documentation, coding data, and reimbursement requirements, identifies optimization opportunities, and partners with clinical and IT teams to implement solutions.

The position offers remote work within the United States and requires ongoing collaboration with physicians, departments, and revenue

Qualifications

• CIRCC certification within one year of hire.
• Active coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA).
• 3+ years in healthcare coding, billing, revenue cycle, or charge capture; experience with Cardiac Catheterization/IR.
• Experience using Epic to support coding review, charge capture, documentation validation, and revenue integrity.

Responsibilities

• Review Cardiac Catheterization, EP, and IR documentation and charge capture for accuracy and compliance.
• Audit and analyze coding, billing, and charge capture to identify revenue leakage and risks.
• Resolve complex coding, documentation, and reimbursement issues for Cardiac Catheterization/IR.
• Maintain expertise in CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, NCCI edits, Medicare guidance, and payer policies.
• Serve as SME for Cardiac Catheterization, EP Lab, and IR coding/billing practices.
• Develop and deliver education and training on coding and reimbursement requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and revenue cycle teams to improve charge capture and reimbursement.
