Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a remote Medical Coder to ensure accurate ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding for patient encounters. You will review medical records, physician notes, and labs to assign codes and support proper reimbursement.

The role requires 3–5 years of coding experience, CP coder credential, and knowledge of AMA/CMS guidelines. This position offers a fully remote schedule with regular hours.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder required; AAPC preferred.
• 3–5 years medical coding experience.
• Familiar with AMA, CMS guidelines and ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes based on medical docs and notes.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
• Analyze records to extract pertinent coding information.
• Use coding software, encoders, and EHR systems.
• Participate in coding audits and documentation improvement.
