Job summary

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of medical coding experience, a CPA credential, and strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of medical coding experience required.
• Certified Professional Coder (AAPC) credential required or preferred.
• Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Remote role; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong accuracy to support proper reimbursement and minimize denials.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT/HCPCS procedures to encounters based on documentation.
• Ensure compliance with AMA, CMS, and other regulatory coding guidelines.
• Analyze medical records to extract coding-relevant information.
• Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and audit-ready records.
• Utilize coding software, encoders, and EHR systems.
• Participate in coding audits and documentation improvement initiatives.
