Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Project Manager to lead large and small capital projects across its sites worldwide, reporting to the Senior Manager – Capital Projects. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and innovation, with responsibilities spanning design, procurement, construction, controls, and commissioning from FEL through Start-Up.

Based in a remote-friendly setting, candidates should be able to travel ~40% and coordinate with teams across global locations, including Wilmington, Delaware or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (any discipline).
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum 3 years working with a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum 2 years of field construction or contract management.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience managing capital projects in the $1M-$20M range.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead by influence.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and secure staffing with resource managers.
• Ensure all team members understand their roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
• Establish effective communications with project team and stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading: scopes of work, estimates, funding requests, schedule and design basis.
• Proactively drive project scope, cost, schedule and resources.
• Identify deliverables and ensure timely completion with quality.
• Manage changes in scope and control costs within budgets.
• Drive project processes per the Chemours Project System.
• Lead risk identification/mitigation and problem-solving sessions.
• Ensure design standards and agreements with internal/external design resources are followed.
