Hunter SF is seeking a Capital Formation Associate to join the fundraising and investor relations team. This role serves as the operational engine behind capital formation, supporting outreach, pipelines, CRM, conferences, and investor requests.

You will collaborate with the partners and help shape growth strategy. The ideal candidate brings exceptional organization, a genuine interest in venture investing, and a knack for executing complex projects with institutional investors.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–7 years of professional experience.
• Background in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Growth Equity, Institutional Investment Management, Capital Formation, Investor Relations.
• Experience supporting fundraising initiatives rather than solely investor servicing.
• Experience at an emerging or growing investment manager is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
• Experience working with institutional investors including Family Offices, Fund of Funds, RIAs, University Endowments, Private Foundations, Healthcare System Foundations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the firm's fundraising pipeline and CRM.
• Conduct introductory conversations with prospective LPs (5–10 minute overviews).
• Prepare and distribute introductory fundraising materials.
• Track fundraising activity, investor engagement, and follow-up.
• Coordinate conference strategy and post-conference follow-up.
• Organize due diligence materials and investor requests.
• Maintain accurate reporting across fundraising initiatives.
• Seek creative ideas beyond mere execution.
