Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a remote-based Customer Service professional to handle roadside assistance calls, gather member details, and provide information on services. You will work flexible shifts that may include weekends, with a focus on empathy and accurate data capture.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (or 4 years of related experience) and prior customer service/Call Center experience is preferred. A strong ability to navigate maps and customer software is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or 4 years of experience in lieu.
• Customer Service experience required; Call Center experience preferred.
• Experience in handling high-volume, challenging situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Takes road service calls and calms members on emotionally charged calls.
• Gathers information: membership number, name, phone, email, vehicle description, location.
• Uses software to capture data, prioritize calls, and verify membership status.
• Determines next steps and supports locating disabled vehicles or meeting points.
• Adheres to after-call work, talk time, and staffing standards.
• Provides policy/procedure information to members and assists with applications.
