Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Per Diem California Licensed Senior Coder. This remote role focuses on charging and coding inpatient records in alignment with established guidelines, while partnering with Health Information Management leadership on performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include coding inpatient records, assisting with other coding areas as needed, and collaborating with leadership to review charts and resolve coding issues to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years inpatient coding experience in acute care.
• RHIA/RHIT or CCS certification required.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Charge and code inpatient records following established coding guidelines and regulations.
• Assist with various coding areas as needed to support departmental functions.
• Collaborate with Health Information Management leadership to review charts and resolve coding issues.
