Exacta, one of the nation’s premier land surveying firms, seeks a CAD Survey Tech – Residential Land Surveying. Under the Survey Drafting Manager, this senior technical resource reviews residential survey work, coaches drafting staff, and coordinates with Professional Land Surveyors on complex boundary matters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of surveying drafting or checking experience.
• Strong CAD operations and survey knowledge.
• Able to coach others and improve quality.
• Ability to prioritize reviews and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Review complex residential survey work for accuracy and compliance with Exacta standards.
• Coach drafting staff and provide constructive feedback on survey concepts.
• Identify recurring issues and coach to reduce errors.
• Provide real-time technical guidance on survey, boundary, and drafting issues.
• Coordinate with Professional Land Surveyors on boundary matters for review and approval.
• Act as a resource between drafting staff and PLS team and escalate when needed.
• Provide technical support to field crews with data and calculations.
• Attend weekly performance meetings to discuss productivity and quality.
