Sedgwick in the United States is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner who specializes in California claims to analyze complex files and determine benefits due. You will handle high-exposure cases, investigations, and settlements while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification in line of business preferred.
• Four years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
• California jurisdiction knowledge required; SIP required or within one year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Analyzes and processes complex California workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and benefits.
• Negotiates settlements within designated authority.
• Calculates and assigns reserves; manages reserve adequacy.
• Calculates and pays benefits; approves and adjusts claims; settles within authority.
• Prepares state filings within statutory limits.
• Manages the litigation process; ensures timely, cost-effective resolution.
• Reports claims to the excess carrier and responds to directions promptly.
