Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 13 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling.
• Professional designation (e.g., AIC) preferred.
• CA Workers' Compensation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages a large inventory of highly complex claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Leads comprehensive claims investigations to confirm coverage and liability.
• Analyzes and negotiates settlements and reserves within authority.
• Conveys complex information to insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Authorizes payments within authority limits and ensures timely disbursement.
• Maintains accurate claim files and documentation.
• Mentors staff and participates in talent decisions for direct reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
