Job summary

EMPLOYERS is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster I to manage California workers' compensation claims remotely. The role requires handling medical and indemnity benefits, complex issues, and high exposure cases with minimal supervision.

You must work West Coast hours (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm PST) and have experience adjusting CA work comp claims. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related claims experience, including complex claims.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and related procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess claims promptly, set reserves, and manage costs.
• Analyze litigation and coordinate with defense to move claims to resolution.
• Mentor teammates and act as SME for legal and jurisdiction needs.
• Provide timely customer service to internal and external clients.
• Maintain compliance with statutes and company policies.
