Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an experienced Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster to manage complex claims from intake to resolution, ensuring compliance with PLCA guidelines and client expectations.

You will analyze coverage, coordinate investigations, advise on settlement strategies, and collaborate with defense counsel while maintaining strong client relationships and productivity targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 7 years related experience in the applicable specialty claims area.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled or able to obtain licenses per local requirements.
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the full life cycle of complex general liability claims per PLCA guidelines and client expectations.
• Analyzes coverage, assigns investigations, evaluates damages, and recommends settlement strategies.
• Prepares reports for reinsurers and maintains data accuracy.
• Directs defense counsel, controls litigation costs, and attends mediations or settlements as needed.
• Pursues subrogation opportunities and adjusts reserves based on claim developments.
• Drafts coverage letters, negotiates settlements, and ensures compliance with standards.
• Provides guidance to junior adjusters and supports client file reviews.
• Maintains a minimum billing productivity of 80% daily.
