Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to manage moderately complex Liability claims across the full life cycle, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, and resolution. The role supports client expectations, policy obligations, and regulatory requirements with minimal supervision.

This position requires active adjuster licenses, strong analytical skills, and experience in construction and GL claims.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 5 years related claims experience required.
• Prior experience working within the applicable specialty claims area or demonstrated ability to handle unique/challenging claims issues.
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled or able to obtain the licenses/certification per local requirements.
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and settles moderately complex liability claims.
• Manages full life cycle of assigned claims.
• Assesses coverage and defense obligations.
• Conducts thorough investigations to determine exposure.
• Prepares reserve and settlement requests for approvals.
• Negotiates settlements with clients and attorneys.
• Collaborates with carriers and outside experts as needed.
