Job summary

Bighorn Law seeks a California Litigation Manager/Paralegal with extensive Personal Injury experience, especially in Orange County and Los Angeles. The role supports attorneys, manages large caseloads, and handles filings from inception to trial in a fully remote setup.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years in PI, strong California procedures knowledge, and proven multitasking and persuasive writing skills. Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace is expected, with Filevine a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in California personal injury.
• Experience in a plaintiff law firm.
• Experience managing 50 cases at a time.
• Knowledge of California state court procedures.
• Strong writing and persuasive abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Attorney(s) to formulate a game plan for the caseload.
• Use client management software to detail interactions with clients, attorneys, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Follow procedures for work product, documentation, and notes.
• Prepare for weekly case reviews with the Attorney/Director of Litigation.
• Create legal documents per instructions of the Attorney/Director of Litigation.
• Ensure tasks are completed within assigned due dates.
• Maintain professional demeanor with Attorneys, Clients, and Coworkers.
• Work on Personal Injury Litigation from inception through arbitration/trial.
• Contact clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel via letter, email, text, and phone.
• Conduct legal research and draft documents (complaints, discovery, briefs, motions, etc.).
• Manage a calendar of meetings, appointments, and hearings.
• Summarize and review medical records.
