Job summary

Harvard Medical School Information Systems seeks a Business Systems Analyst to lead requirements elicitation, journey mapping, and process redesign. You will design, develop, and implement solutions to streamline HILS operations, collaborating with leadership to translate needs into technical requirements throughout the SDLC.

The role requires experience with desktop, mobile, or web apps and relational databases; familiarity with Peoplesoft, Oracle BI Suite, and Oracle Analytics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years' experience defining requirements for desktop, mobile, or web-based software applications and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, documentation, implementation, configuration, and validation of solutions to business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technology strategies and system requirements.
• Lead definition of system requirements, gap analysis, and user journey mapping.
• Document and refine current and future state processes; build support from tech stakeholders.
• Define Agile user stories and prioritize sprint content with stakeholders.
• Assess business impact of technology applications and recommend changes.
• Assist with change management and develop training materials with trainers.
• Partner with IT to assess system integration opportunities.
