Job summary

KTA-Tator, Inc. is seeking a Building Envelope Consultant/Project Manager to lead and perform technical assessments of commercial buildings. The role supports proposals, final deliverables, and invoicing from remote or Pittsburgh, PA or Dobson, NC offices.

The candidate will manage diagnostics, report writing, and client communications, with opportunities to expand leadership and contribute to growth of the Commercial Services Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or specialized experience in Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of building science principles and moisture intrusion in commercial buildings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word), measurements, blueprint reading.
• AutoCAD and Bluebeam proficiency preferred; PE/Architect license ideal.
• Willingness to travel U.S. (30–50%) and have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite building envelope consulting and diagnostic assessments, moisture intrusion surveys, and paint/building repair QA inspections.
• Coordinate with peers, engineers, and owners to determine root causes of problems.
• Develop responsive proposals addressing building envelope and moisture intrusion needs.
• Prepare written technical reports with scopes of work, specs, and remediation recommendations.
• Coordinate building inspection staff and review reports for accuracy.
• Manage project assignments on time, within scope, and within budget per quality standards.
• Support business development and client relationship management for future opportunities.
