Job summary

Keystone Experts & Engineers is seeking experienced Building Consultants for a fully remote, part-time, 1099 contract role. You will evaluate property damage, prepare estimates and reports, and provide expert insights for insurers, attorneys, and stakeholders.

Strong construction background and reporting skills are essential. The position supports assignments nationwide, often coordinating with engineers and adjusting teams, and may require on-site inspections and travel to CAT events when

Qualifications

Experience in general contracting, construction, home remodeling, mitigation, or related fields.
Hands-on experience with insurance-related repairs or claims estimating.
Proficiency with construction estimating methods (time & materials) and software-based systems.
Familiar with Symbility, Matterport, DocuSketch, Hover for estimation and reporting.
Willingness to travel for field inspections and CAT events.
Strong written communication for detailed reports.

Responsibilities

Receive and respond to assignments promptly and schedule inspections.
Conduct onsite property inspections with engineers within stated timeframes.
Access rooftops, crawlspaces, and challenging environments for full evaluations.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and reports using appropriate software.
Collaborate with Keystone’s Managing Building Consultant during review and approval processes.
Occasionally travel for CAT event evaluations.
Provide objective, comprehensive evaluations for insurers, attorneys, and stakeholders.
