Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer (Build Systems) to architect and manage high-performance build systems for large-scale monorepos. You will optimize CI/CD pipelines to reduce lead times and improve developer productivity, collaborating across engineering to enforce modular boundaries and dependency standards.

With 4+ years in Software Engineering or Build/DevOps, you’ll leverage Bazel and Buildkite, applying hermetic builds and advanced caching.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Build Engineering, or DevOps.
• Proven expertise with large-scale build systems using Bazel.
• Experience with monorepo tooling and build performance optimization.
• Proficiency in hermetic builds and CI optimization using Buildkite or similar tools.
• Deep understanding of dependency management and incremental build caching.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage high-performance build systems for large-scale monorepos.
• Implement and maintain hermetic build environments for consistency.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines to reduce lead times and boost productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enforce modular boundaries and dependency rules.
