Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company redesigning credit with a compliant, transparent model. The Bank Compliance Technology Analyst role focuses on translating regulatory requirements into effective systems, building monitoring rules, dashboards, and automated controls within Affirm Bank.

You will partner with Compliance, Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, and vendors to ensure reliable, auditable, scalable compliance technology across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience supporting compliance technology, BSA/AML, or related function.
• Understanding of transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, EDD, and case management.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical skills for data evaluation and trend identification.
• Experience with workflow tools, dashboards, data queries, or system configuration.
• Strong written communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work across Compliance, Operations, Product, Engineering and Data teams.
• Attention to testing, change management, governance, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate Affirm Bank’s BSA/AML and broader compliance programs.
• Build and maintain transaction-monitoring rules and risk-rating capabilities.
• Configure case-management systems, workflows, and escalation processes.
• Translate compliance requirements into clear system logic and technical specs.
• Test rules, workflows, and changes before and after implementation.
• Monitor controls, data quality, and system reliability.
• Analyze alerts and activities to identify gaps and improvements.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for leadership, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Document system logic, rule changes, testing, approvals, and remediation.
• Support automated compliance workflows with oversight and escalation controls.
• Coordinate issues and roadmap priorities across multiple teams.
• Ensure adaptable compliance tech for new products and changing risk profiles.
