Job summary

Jobot is seeking a PE-licensed Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of large bridge and transportation projects. This fully remote role focuses on projects within Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, offering opportunities to mentor engineers and collaborate across multiple offices.

You will manage planning, budgeting, and execution while ensuring code-compliant designs. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in bridge engineering, strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and DOT standards, and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural focus preferred.
• 4+ years of bridge engineering or transportation structures experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex bridge/transportation projects from planning to completion.
• Develop design alternatives addressing structure, constructability, and regulatory needs.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, plans, specs, reports, and load ratings.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with related engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate with DOTs, agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to advance bridge programs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and design staff.
• Coordinate across offices to share expertise and develop innovative solutions.
• Participate in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control of projects.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel and concrete bridge elements per standards.
