Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to design and deliver complex bridge infrastructure projects across Illinois and surrounding markets. The role offers a fully remote opportunity for qualified Illinois DOT bridge professionals with a focus on leadership and project delivery.

You will mentor staff, manage projects, and coordinate with clients while contributing to the growth and expansion of the transportation practice in the Midwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• 8–15+ years of bridge engineering and transportation structure design experience.
• Proficiency with IDOT bridge projects and Illinois standards.
• Experience with steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete bridges.
• Experience with bridge inspections, rehabilitation, culverts, retaining walls, and related infrastructure.
• Proficient in MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer, Bentley platforms, or similar software.
• Strong project management, leadership, and client coordination.

• Provide technical leadership on bridge engineering projects.
• Manage project delivery and schedules for Illinois and surrounding markets.
• Mentor staff and develop junior engineers.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to expand regional operations.
