Job summary

Specialized Accounting is hiring a Bookkeeping Specialist for a long‑term remote role in the United States. You will work 32–40 hours per week, primarily 9:00 am–5:00 pm CT, and it must be your top priority.

This is a full‑time remote position with growth opportunities and regular client interaction. You will handle data entry, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll reconciliation, and revenue recognition while collaborating with clients and the team.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Able to learn new programs and resolve problems quickly.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 and general computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop agency and ownership of client accounts.
• Engage with clients and improve processes.
• Data input of day‑to‑day accounting operations.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Accounts payable and receivable support.
• Payroll reconciliation.
• Revenue recognition and POS data extraction.
• Communicate with clients on accounting procedures.
• Prepare month‑end accruals and adjusting entries.
• Document processes and conduct quarterly reviews.
