Job summary

AAMI is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist to manage medical equipment and clinical systems, troubleshoot issues, perform inspections and maintenance, and document activities in CMMS. The role involves responding to alerts, ensuring cybersecurity and network connectivity, and educating staff on safe operation.

Candidates must meet VA basic requirements, possess relevant education/certifications, and be able to operate in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Citizenship and screening requirements as per VA policy.
• Education and certification requirements as specified in the Basic Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of medical equipment and clinical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems using technical data; complete corrective actions.
• Perform incoming inspections and planned maintenance on devices.
• Document all work in CMMS and other appropriate systems.
• Respond to hazard alerts, recalls, and incidents; document actions.
