Job summary

AAMI is seeking a biomedical equipment technician to manage the lifecycle of medical equipment and clinical systems. You will troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and document actions in CMMS, ensuring system reliability and safety.

Responsibilities include responding to recalls, monitoring connectivity, and educating staff on proper operation and maintenance of equipment and systems. Collaboration with contractors and departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards and regulation for medical equipment operation.
• Experience with testing and calibrating clinical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical data and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of medical equipment and clinical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems and perform corrective actions.
• Perform inspections and planned maintenance.
• Document actions in CMMS and system logs.
• Respond to hazard alerts, recalls, and incidents.
• Monitor backups, network connectivity and cybersecurity.
• Education staff on safe operation and maintenance.
• Manage, monitor, and evaluate contractor performance.
