Job summary

AAMI in the United States is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Specialist to oversee networked medical devices and healthcare tech systems installation and maintenance.

You will manage cybersecurity, patching, and compliance with VA standards, while configuring VLANs, IP addressing, and security protocols. Collaborate with IT, biomed, clinical services, and manufacturers to ensure uptime and optimal performance.

Qualifications

• United States citizenship and English proficiency as required.
• Education/experience in biomedical tech, electronics, IT, or HTM cert programs.
• Certification in relevant biomedical or HTM fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees support, maintenance, and integration of networked medical devices and healthcare tech systems.
• Manages cybersecurity, including patching, remediation, antivirus, and VA standards compliance.
• Configures and troubleshoots VLANs, IPs, subnets, firewalls, and network security.
• Supports medical device servers, databases, software, HL7/DICOM interfaces, and middleware.
• Collaborates with IT, biomed, clinical services, and device manufacturers to resolve issues.
• Performs system testing, device validation, lifecycle management, and upgrades.
• Maintains documentation, inventories, configuration records, and compliance reporting.
