Job summary

AAMI is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (Imaging) to manage imaging systems and databases, configure interfaces, and lead cybersecurity and disaster recovery efforts. The role requires strong knowledge of imaging principles and international standards, with hands-on maintenance and lifecycle management of medical equipment.

The position emphasizes documentation in CMMS, staff education, and collaboration on projects and committees.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in biomedical technology or biomedical engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of creditable experience in electronics, IT, or biomedical equipment maintenance.
• Possession or pursuit of recognized biomedical equipment certifications (CBET/CRES/CLES/CHTM).

Responsibilities

• Manages imaging systems and databases.
• Configures interfaces on imaging equipment and clinical systems.
• Coordinates cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery planning.
• Performs manufacturer-level maintenance on imaging systems.
• Manages equipment lifecycle and CMMS documentation.
• Provides staff training on safe operation and maintenance.
