Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks Biology Research Scientists to validate protein target assignments against primary sources and UniProt records. You will review papers and patents, identify errors, and propose corrected UniProt accessions with concise, evidence-based rationale.

Requirements include hands-on experience in pharmacology/biochemistry or related fields, plus familiarity with interpreted data such as IC50, Ki, and Kd. This is a remote contractor role for 10–20 hours/week, immediate start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher with industry experience in pharmacology/biochemistry/biotech.
• Experience reviewing primary literature and patents for protein targets.
• Ability to propose UniProt accessions and evidence-based corrections.

Responsibilities

• Review primary research papers and patents to verify protein target assignments.
• Compare target assignments against UniProt and identify discrepancies.
• Classify target assignment errors using a structured taxonomy.
• Propose accurate UniProt accessions where assignments are incorrect.
• Document clear, concise, evidence-grounded reasoning for each determination.
• Apply pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or chemical biology expertise to evaluate target relationships.
