Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote BIM Manager to lead the implementation and management of BIM strategies across a diverse construction portfolio.

This role is fully remote, with the expectation to set BIM standards, train teams, coordinate models, and drive integration of BIM into design, estimation, scheduling, and facility management. You will guide stakeholders and maintain collaboration from anywhere.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of BIM coordination, management, or implementation experience in the construction industry.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and ISO 19650.
• Experience developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills, with the ability to manage a remote team.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Manage and coordinate BIM models for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and resolve clashes in models.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams on BIM software and processes.
• Develop and deliver BIM training programs for internal staff and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to define BIM requirements.

About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge construction technology firm, is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Remote BIM Manager to lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies across their diverse portfolio of projects. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within South Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of BIM software, workflows, standards, and best practices, with a proven ability to drive efficiency and collaboration in a digital construction environment. You will be instrumental in setting BIM standards, training teams, and ensuring the successful integration of BIM technologies into all project phases, significantly enhancing project delivery and reducing risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of various BIM standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills, with the ability to effectively manage a remote team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
