Tempus AI is seeking a Billing Support Specialist to serve as the primary contact for billing questions from patients, clients, and payors. You will provide billing-related support, estimate out-of-pocket costs, quote pricing, collect payments, and review patient correspondence.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and medical terminology knowledge, with experience in CPT/ICD10 coding and insurance processes. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of CPT & ICD10 codes, medical terminology, insurance plans & processes.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills; team player with ability to handle workload with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Chrome, and internet; Salesforce or similar case management software preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret Ambry/Tempus requisitions and write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, professional billing support to clients and patients.
• Use critical-thinking to resolve billing issues.
• Handle inbound requests across channels and direct to appropriate party.
• Communicate estimated out-of-pocket costs and assist with billing inquiries.
• Document all interactions in Ambry systems thoroughly.
• Review documents and understand Ambry products/processes.
• Offer one-touch resolution for billing-related inquiries when possible.
