Job summary

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for an entry-level Remote Billing Support Specialist to join their finance team in a fully remote capacity. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to build a foundation in billing, accounts receivable, and customer account management while working with a supportive, detail-oriented team.

Day to day you will review invoices, research billing discrepancies, and help customers understand their charges over phone and email.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or business a plus
• Prior billing/ar accounts receivable or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
• Comfortable working in a remote, self-directed environment

Responsibilities

• Generate and send accurate customer invoices on a regular billing cycle
• Review billing records for errors and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Respond to customer billing inquiries via phone, email, and chat
• Process payments, credits, and adjustments in the billing system
• Maintain accurate and up to date customer account records
• Collaborate with accounting and customer service teams to resolve disputes
• Assist with month end billing reconciliation and reporting
• Track outstanding balances and support collections follow up
• Document billing procedures and elevate complex issues as needed
• Support ad hoc billing projects and process improvement initiatives
