Sedgwick is seeking a part-time Billing Specialist to join our team as a US telecommuter. The role focuses on monitoring and coordinating payment for standard and complex receivables, with a shift Tuesday through Saturday, 11am–8pm EST.

You will contact brokers to resolve discrepancies and support various billing processes. Ideal candidates bring solid accounting or billing experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of accounting, bookkeeping or insurance billing experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of billing systems and data flows in medical billing.

Responsabilités

• Contacts broker/account on payment discrepancies and unpaid bills to resolve outstanding receivables.
• Processes and corrects external entries.
• Researches payment deficiencies and reconciles invoices; disburses overpayments on true-up invoices.
• Reviews sold documentation and completes Billing set-up.
• Prepares monthly updates for management reports.
• Maintains file documentation and system diary notes.
• Coordinates corrections and follows through to resolution.
• Identifies customer needs and acts on them.
