Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Billing Support Specialist to join our finance and operations team. You will prepare and issue invoices, respond to billing inquiries, and ensure accuracy in billing in partnership with Project Managers and stakeholders.

Based in the United States with a remote work option, you may need to work overtime during month-end close from the 1st through the 4th. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime from the 1st to the 4th of each month.

Responsibilities

• Provide billing support to Project Managers by preparing and issuing invoices according to customer requirements and project schedules.
• Respond to billing inquiries and resolve invoice-related issues promptly.
• Review billing information for accuracy and compliance with customer guidelines and internal processes.
• Troubleshoot billing discrepancies and propose solutions using strong problem-solving skills.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders on billing matters.
